Author Personality
In Chekov's amataur days of writing, he wrote short stories for newspapers to provide small sums of money for his family. He wrote under pseudonyms: Antosha Chekhonte and Man without a Spleen. For his style and tone of the period, he was known as a satirical chronicler of Russian street life. Antons later syle became more of mature fiction. His most famous writing trait was the use of the stream of consciousness technique, later adapted by other famous authors like James Joyce. Anton Chekov cared for his family greatly, any money he came upon he game it to his family for their betterment. In 1884-1886 ,Chekov had a case of tuberculosis and was coughing up blood. He later over came this illness, and he only told Leikin for he feared his colleagues would not want to be around him.
